I've always been a huge fan of making an entry in style. What better way to stun the audience at an Indian wedding than with an elegant, traditional Indian saree?
But much to my surprise, there were far too many options to choose from. So I did a ton of research and managed to create this phenomenal list of 10 trending Indian wedding sarees.
- Lehenga Sarees
This is not a fusion which you can afford to miss out on. Combining the traditional elegance of a saree with the glamour of a lehenga, these lehenga sarees have become famous over the past few years.
Made by combining a traditional saree with a flowing drape and a pallu that can be worn in various styles. The bottom half, similar to a lehenga, is a flared skirt. - Net Sarees
Renowned for its lightweight semi-transparent fabric, this saree is one of the best traditional wedding attires. With its breathable fabric, it becomes a great choice for a summer wedding. Available in a lot of variations (Bridal, Embellished or scalloped).
You can choose a phenomenal petticoat or blouse that becomes visible with its semi-transparent quality. Embellished with embroidery, sequins or lace work, net sarees have a huge visual appeal.
- Bandhani Saree
Characterized by their use of tie and dye technique, bandhani sarees are primarily created in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The fabric is intricately tied into small knots and then dyed, creating patterns of dots, circles and waves.
