 Indian Oil and HDFC together have launched a new fuel credit card, which targets customers in non-metro places. It offers the lowest price for fuel along with some other benefits. With the help of IOCL Credit Card, customers can get reward points at more than 27000 fuel stations across India. Also, they can get fuel points on utility bill payments, dining out, shopping, etc., and these points can further be redeemed annually up to a maximum of 50 litres of fuel. 


How do you link the IOCL credit card to the HDFC bank account?


It is compulsory to register for Internet banking facilities to link the credit card to the HDFC bank account. Mentioned below are the steps to link the HDFC IndianOil Credit Card to the HDFC Bank account:


Step 1: Log on to HDFC’s official website, i.e. www.hdfcbank.com 

Step 2: Click on the tab “Net Banking” available on the home page.

Step 3: Then, log in to HDFC's Internet banking webpage.

Step 4: It will then take you to the login page of HDFC, where you have to enter your Customer ID and password. Click “Continue”.

Step 5: Click on the link available, “Register New Card”.

Step 6: Provide the details like Card Number, PIN, and Expiry Date. Click “Submit”.

  1. Existing HDFC Customers Managing Net Banking Account


The existing HDFC credit card holders can link their credit cards with their bank accounts easily using net banking. There is no need to create a new net banking account. Mentioned below are the steps to register the credit cards:


Step 1: Using your Customer ID and IPIN, open your net banking account.

Step 2: On the main menu, select “Cards”. 

Step 3: Next, click “Credit Cards”. 

Step 4: On the left-hand side menu, click “Register New Card”.

Step 5: Now, provide your credit card number along with its PIN and expiry date.

Step 6: At last, click “Submit”.

Step 7: Post verification, a confirmation message will be received.


  1. Existing HDFC Customers But Without Net Banking

For the existing HDFC customers who do not have a net banking account, firstly, you are required to register yourself to avail of net banking access. Once you have successfully registered yourself for net banking, the next step you can do is to link your credit card with the HDFC bank account. The registration process for cards can be done either offline by visiting the nearest HDFC branch or an ATM or online.

Step 3: Now, click “Bank Online”.

Step 6: It will then redirect you to the online registration page.

Step 7: Select your Login ID, and enter some details asked, like name, credit card number, PIN, and expiry date of the card.

Step 9: Click “Submit, once all the details are filled out.

Step 10: After verification, the request will be accepted by HDFC for credit card account creation.
